In accordance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (hereinafter “the Law”), the American University of Europe, A. C. (hereinafter “UNADE”), with its address in the United Mexican States, is responsible for the collection, processing, and protection of your personal data (including sensitive and financial personal data), whether in physical form or electronically.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I. PURPOSE.- In accordance with Articles 15 and 16 of the Law, UNADE informs you that your data will be collected for the following purposes:
- Provide educational and cultural services in accordance with the institutional Mission and Vision.
- Offer information about the educational offerings and scholarships of the institution.
- Carry out enrollment and registration processes.
- Add to the database of students and alumni.
- Provide financial support, scholarships, or financing.
- Provide information to various institutional departments for their operational needs related to academic and administrative processes.
- Manage and process billing and collections when applicable.
- Prepare statistics and reports required by national and foreign government entities, as well as carry out all necessary procedures before the relevant school authorities.
- Prepare reports, statistics, and quality improvement surveys of the products and services offered by UNADE, for exclusive use by the institution.
- If applicable, enroll in university linkage programs abroad.
- Enable access to the UNADE virtual campus.
- Process the hiring or cancellation of academic insurance.
- Accreditation and registration of social services and/or internships.
- Register for events, seminars, congresses, conferences, or related activities, in case of participation representing UNADE.
- Disseminate and send advertisements to promote the various academic programs offered by the institution.
- Promote university life.
- Manage profile in the UNADE Job Board, if applicable.
II. COLLECTED DATA.- To achieve the purposes indicated in this privacy notice, UNADE informs you that it may collect your personal data, which may include but are not limited to: name, date of birth, nationality, address, email, phone number, and sensitive personal data, which may include but are not limited to: racial or ethnic origin, present and future health status, religious, philosophical, and moral beliefs, union affiliation, political opinions, and any other information that may be used to identify you; as well as financial data.
III. SENSITIVE OR FINANCIAL DATA.- If it is necessary to collect sensitive or financial data, express consent from the data subject will be required, in accordance with Article 9 of the Law.
IV. LIMITATION ON THE USE AND DISCLOSURE OF DATA.- You can limit the use and disclosure of your personal data by sending a request to the email address lopd@unade.net, specifying clearly and concisely the limitation you require.
V. EXERCISE OF "ARCO" RIGHTS.- The data subject, or their legal representative, may request access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition regarding their personal data at any time.
The data subject must send a request to the email address lopd@unade.net indicating:
- The name of the data subject and an address for communication purposes
- The documents that prove identity or legal representation, if applicable;
- A detailed description of the personal data regarding which the rights are to be exercised;
In case of requesting the rectification of personal data, the data subject must provide documentation supporting their request.
UNADE will notify the data subject within twenty business days from the date the request for access, rectification, cancellation, or omission was received, whether the request is appropriate in accordance with the Law and current regulations, and if applicable, will make effective the right exercised by the data subject within the following fifteen days from the response to the request.
VI. DATA TRANSFER.- Your data may be transferred to authorities at any level (Federal, State, Municipal), public and private entities, various companies and/or individuals, both inside and outside of Mexico, for the purpose of certifying your studies and competencies, as well as participating in their personnel selection processes and applying for the various job vacancies published on our Job Board.
VII. COMPLIANCE WITH PRINCIPLES AND CONFIDENTIALITY.- The UNADE area responsible for processing your personal data is obligated to comply with the principles of legality, consent, information, quality, purpose, loyalty, proportionality, and responsibility protected by the Law. Furthermore, it commits to strict confidentiality and to maintaining the necessary security measures to protect them against any damage, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, or processing.

IX. COMPLAINTS AND REPORTS FOR IMPROPER HANDLING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA.- If you believe your right to protection of personal data has been violated by any conduct of our employees or our actions or responses, or if you suspect that there has been a violation of the provisions set forth in the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties in the handling of your personal data, you may file the corresponding complaint or report with the INAI. X. MODIFICATIONS TO THE PRIVACY NOTICE.- UNADE reserves the right to make any necessary modifications or updates to this privacy notice. These modifications will be available on the website www.unade.edu.mx or will be notified to you via email.
